Healthcare Provider CPR®
The BLS for Healthcare Providers
Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR
(including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body
airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.
Audience: For
healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants,
doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must
have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of
a CPR course. Heartsaver® AED
The Heartsaver AED
Course teaches CPR,
AED use, relief of choking
in adults and children,
and infant CPR and relief
of choking, and use of
barrier devices for all ages.
Audience:
For those who have
a duty to respond to
a cardiac emergency
because of job responsibilities
or regulatory
requirements. Heartsaver® First Aid The Heartsaver First
Aid Course teaches
how to manage illness
and injuries in the
first few minutes until
professional help arrives.
Course content includes
General Principles,
Medical Emergencies,
and Injury Emergencies.
Optional topics include
CPR and AED,
and Environmental
Emergencies.
Audience:
For those who have
a duty to respond to
a first aid or cardiac
emergency because
of job responsibilities
or regulatory requirements. Pediatric Heartsaver® First Aid The Heartsaver Pediatric
First Aid Course teaches
how to manage illness
and injuries in a child
in the first few minutes
until professional
help arrives. Topics
include First Aid Basics,
Medical Emergencies,
Injury Emergencies,
Environmental
Emergencies, Optional
First Aid Topics, and CPR
and AED.
Audience:
For those involved in
child care who have
a duty to respond to
a first aid emergency
because of job responsibilities
or regulatory
requirements, such as
child care workers,
teachers, foster care
